Almost the same date (1970) Yellow River also has a major pentatonic outro (double bonus, bass player lead vocal):

The Road Hammers The Hammer Goin Down. Another cover of another Chris Knight tune. We used to play this one about twice as fast and had a couple of really good chicken pickers. It was one of those songs that would induce levitation.
