Hi! I am a student with four more housemates. Luckily most of them are musical and they don't mind me practicing on a Genzler Magellan 350 head + 2x112 Aguilar SG cabs.
The tone/sound is amazing. Gain/Volume knobs never go above 9 o'clock - although when slapping, bass volume has to go down to about 25% or even less. When I am at home on my own I push it a bit more, and then the floor starts shaking.....

I saw a review with Ed Friedland and he was using a Genzler stack. I'll keep Genzler in mind!

Look at the Ampeg portaflex packages.
You can get a PF 500 and a 210 or 115 for under a grand not including tax. With a warranty. Lot more options with the 500 over the 350.

You may have to wait until back in stock, unless you can find it somewhere.

I recently picked up a great Aguilar AG700 and a Bergantino 1x12 cabinet ... both super light weight and sounds amazing.

I quite like my bass rig and Ed Friedland's youtube review pointed me to consider the Genzler head.... The cabs I bought second hand, the head I bought new... plus two sunami speakon cables.... £1000. I love my rig....
