Do you play guitar?

I do play guitar, and have for about 10 years, and only began my bass journey around this last Thanksgiving, scratching an itch for it I've had for years.
Funny though, I now rarely pick up my electric guitars but still love noodling fingerstyle on my acoustic.
Never tried the acoustic through my bass amp though

My bass amp is a Mesa D-800. Great amp for bass. Absolutely does not work for guitar. For guitar I prefer low watt class A all tube amps. My favorite is Laney Lionheart. Second favorite Fender Princeton Reverb. Both around 20 watts of pure tube goodness.

I grew up playing guitar and switched to bass as my main instrument in high school. I have been playing both bass and guitar for 30+ years. I find that knowing guitar allows me to follow guitarists, look at what they're doing, and adapt my bass playing to whatever they're doing. This makes guitarists happy, especially when learning new material or improvising on the fly.
As others have said, the Fender Bassman has been used as a killer guitar amp for decades.
I also love recording guitar through my Ampeg and Mesa tube bass heads. Sometimes I do a line out from the bass head into a cab simulator or direct into a computer where I can pull up all kinds of libraries. Sometimes I even use the bass library sounds for a warm, clean tube guitar sound with a little reverb and/or slap-back echo.
But then again, I'm the guy who loves using this old record player as a guitar amp. Matching it with my old Les Paul is like... biscuits and gravy... pure yummy goodness!!

I have a Bassman clone head that I have used for both bass and electric guitar...I just use bass cabs for bass and guitar cabs for guitar. I have a Traynor YBA 3 that some players would use for guitar but you would need a large gig to justify the wattage and weight. I have used many bass rigs as an acoustic guitar amp and some do a great job in fact. I could see the Ampeg PF-20 being a great little electric guitar amp...perfect wattage and a good tone stack for your average sized guitar gig.

I’ve been having quite a bit of fun lately running my guitar & bass through my Monoprice 15w guitar tube amp through the speaker in my Hartke kickback 12. Sounds great, let’s me get tones I can’t coax out of the solid state Rumble 500.

My MusicMan HD130 is awesome for either through 12" speaker(s). I carried it as a back-up bass or guitar head when we traveled ...

I recently posted about rolling all the bass off onna Rumble 25 to check out some new pedals, including guitar pedals, and it worked well - very neutral pedal-platform.

Malcolm Young played through Marshall Super Basses, everyone in Canada of a certain age played guitar through a Traynor YBA-1 Bass Master, Jimmy Page used a Supro Thunderbolt bass amp. Hell, Eric Clapton and all the clones used the Fender Bassman.
So, not alone.

(Although I mostly play guitar through a 50s Gibson GA-20 guitar amp)
