I know, I know - I only have myself to blame.

I figured as much, but with all the people losing their minds these days and actually shooting over minor crap (I saw a local story were a guy jsut got shot for honking his horn) its probably best to add them...
But us here at TB are above all that. We're bass players after all!! :)

Perhaps a better prank for the OP to pull off would be take a sharpie into every public restroom and leave a note saying 'please call xxxxx for a good time'. Replace 'xxxxx' with their phone numbers.

One of my kid's friend ate Cheetos in the backseat of my car. Do you know how hard it is to vacuum Cheeto dust? That was the last time I allowed him to go anywhere with his friends. Talk about disrespect. What's next? A drink without a lid?

Had the exact same thing happen, so I murdered the kid and his entire family while they slept. It's the only language these disrespectful ***** understand!

I'm being sentenced next week.

Edit: ;)

Oh, another idea: get your son to borrow an acoustic guitar from one of the guitarists and fill it with hard drugs, buy the band some cheap flights and tell them they've been asked to play at some obscure festival that has national TV coverage and as well as their normal set, they need to do an unplugged set.

Or fill it with plectrums... that's probably a better idea.

Take the high road and quit. They don't respect you.

Fire the drummer?

Personal property is personal property no matter what it is, I would demand they have it fixed and pay the bill, that way hopefully they learn a lesson to keep their Stinking mitts off what doesn't belong to them, it's a respct thing over all..

Agreed, but not all Francis-like...

Congratulations on having a bass-playing son! Youth is time foolish mistakes. In the grand scheme, this is tiny. Have a *friendly* chat with the boys, and my guess is once you explain your position, they'll volunteer to help with the removal once they finish apologizing. I didn't see his age, but if they are late teens, just think back to how excited you would have been playing a gig at that age, and be thankful they didn't do anything really dangerous or destructive. Peace.

+1. Learning that actions have consequences takes time and for kids can be a Gray Area. When I think of some of the things I did and said as a teenager, my blood runs cold and my face burns with shame. I'm pretty sure it's a similar story for most...

If it ain't yours, don't **** with it. Time they learned from someone, since they haven't got that lesson from parents or other sources. Just try not to embarrass your kid! I'm 62 and still remember when I did something
like that and my friends Dad simply said,"that's mine, not yours. It will have to be fixed and I'll get you a receipt for the bill/" I never got the bill, but I sweated bullets for a few weeks.
