I saw that - but when it comes to Joe Osborn, I find that many players need to be reminded (or educated) regarding his body of work, and that one has to have it in front of them in order to really digest it. The VG list, BTW, doesn't include his country work, and the article only mentions it in passing. I believe I read that his country Top 40 list roughly doubles the regular list.

He needs a champion, someone to bring his achievements to the attention of a wider public, i.e a documentary or short film, etc. He isn't a self-publicist and it's hard to hang a narrative around him because he is not associated with a movement or a studio, for example.

Wow, I've never seen this picture. I know he had people sign it but it is so cool to actually see it. Some vintage snobs out there would look down on this because it was "refinished." That's true though, It was refinished in history....

I looked into it briefly, it was given to the MHOF for display in their museum, and then damaged in the Katrina flood when put in storage due to the museum being lost to Nashville due to eminent domain laws.

Not sure where it is now.
