JHS Punchline

Love it, what pedalboard is that?

Donner DB-S100 ($49.99 on Amazon). I really wanted to find a 14" x8" board due to a really nice pelican style case that I had. The Donner was the only one I could find.

The metal frame is thinner than what you would find on a pedaltrain type board and the small rubber feet are a joke (I ended up drilling through them and installing small scrfews to hold them in place). At first, I was going to return it, nut in the end I modified it to suit what I needed; The power brick I ordered off of Amazon included two 110v outlets so I used a dremel and a cut off wheel to allow for me to utilize the two outlets...

It fit's perfectly in my case and it is stable. I don't plan to be dancing on it.

I'm overjoyed that additional demo videos such as this one have appeared within the past month or so. These videos clearly show how useful this piece of gear is for most bassists, and how simple it is to use. At one point the host mentions that "this is one of those things he didn't know he wanted or needed," and "that probably outside of bass guitars, it's probably his favorite piece of gear he's received all year." I couldn't agree more.

I know they had sold out about 50% of these a month or so ago. Once these are gone, I have a hunch many will regret not investing in one of these when they had the chance. It's that good.

@musicman556
It's been a few months since your review.
What are the dimensions of the knobs? Have you tried any others? Still on the fence, but I know visibility would be a gripe for me. I appreciate your review/share!
Hey @kevinpmajka I didn't want to leave you hanging, but it looks like @johnk_10 has us covered already!

To be honest, I used the Punchline a couple times and then went back to my existing pedalboard due to just being too dang busy to plan/execute a newer, simpler pedalboard build around the Punchline. It's not that I don't like the Punchline... it's great! Just haven't had time to play with it.

HOWEVER, I just got another smaller pedalboard this week, and ordered another small tuner to go with it last night. I'm glad you brought this thread back to the top and that JohnK_10 shared those knobs and the measurements for them! I'm gunna hop on amazon and ebay now and maybe get those knobs in 4 colors for the 4 sections of the Punchline, if they have nice options available.

Edit to add:

Alright, I wanted teal and pink to go with my Miami Vice color theme that I use on all kinds of stuff, but I couldn't find options I liked. Decided to go blue and silver, and I'll alternate between the 4 sections Blue, silver, blue, silver.

I'll post a pic when I get them mounted.

Would you mind posting a link to these?
