Is it already somewhere on TB -- a list of all the Fender bass guitar lines e.g. "vintera" "highway 1" "player" "elite" "ultra" etc... I find all the names overwhelming and tedious to try to parse them myself. It'd be great if there were a spreadsheet or list that ranked them in order of price or quality and maybe a small note about the notable differences e.g. string thru body, or truss wheel adjustment on the elite's.

If the list does not already exist, let's get that going shall we?

Better yet, @G-Dog is a TB WIKI Monster! He’d be the one to help with a WIKI page after some peeps provide some lists!

I miss the days when Fender had just 2 lines: Precision and Jazz.
Considering that they have oodles of versions of both of those (besides other totally different models of other basses) for a while that was a lllloooooonnnngggggg time ago.;)

When I was a bass noob I had no idea that Fender had so many variations of just those two models.

Fender got jealous of all the confusion that Ernie Ball/Music Man and Sterling create on a regular basis with their model naming. Rather than confusing people with similar product names (that would be copying) Fender has taken the strategy of just overwhelming the consumer with so many choices that nobody understands their product offerings anymore. So, they've caught up. Good job, Fender!

I believe this is what's meant by a thankless task.

I've created, and maintain, some TalkBass wiki pages as a "labor of love" for their topics. And I believe I've infected @B-Mac, who is no TB wiki slouch himself, with that bug. But, I believe, this particular topic would require more commitment to fully flesh out than I currently have available. I can offer some kickstarting assistance to those willing to pursue it, though. @Gusdfunk, was that any more than the "Royal We", meaning yourself, that you invoked in that rousing "call to arms"?

Here are a couple of obvious currently existing resources that may be used, and referenced, for those so inclined:

Electric Basses | Fender
The obvious list of currently produced models and series. Hmmm, looks like there are no currently produced hollowbody, semi-hollowbody or acoustic basses?

List of products manufactured by Fender Musical Instruments Corporation: Basses - Wikipedia
This is a Wikipedia list with hyperlinks to other Wikipedia wikis with more details. Maybe it's close enough to the requested result? Or perhaps new efforts could be directed there to extend it to the desired extent?

Good luck to any and all pursuers!
