Longshot...I'm looking for this bass.

I had friends in an Austin band in the 80s who landed Schecter endorsements just at the time that company was building itself out of Dallas and making excellent instruments. And they showed up at gigs with some pink ones. I'd very much advocate finding a late 80s Schecter if you can.

So, I posted a thread a couple weeks ago about wanting an 80s bass. I've gotten very close to pulling the trigger on several. And, honestly, I couldn't figure out why I didn't.

Then it hit me.

I've been looking for a bass like the one I actually owned back in the 80s. It was a Forum with Spector PJ pickups, volume, tone, and three-way selector. And it was pink. I don't mean baby pink, or shell pink. I'm not even talking about neon or florescent pink. I'm talking about burn your eyes out pink!

Before I buy a different 80s bass, I want to reach out to you guys to see if you can find one. It looked exactly like this.

Some of the most well-made instruments of their day. My guitarist in that era played a Schecter strat and both he and it were amazing. They're scarce for a reason. People don't want to part with them.

Kiesel's Aries bass, without the bevel, is pretty close. And they have a few pinks, nowadays. And you can also do a custom option with a pantone number.

I had that exact one, it was a Forum III in hot pink. I sold it last year on Craigslist for about $375. They come up on Ebay every once in awhile and sell around the $350-$550 range. I wasn't a huge fan of the pickups and thought they were thin sounding and weak. However, I really liked the neck. It was a little different than most. It was flatter and wider towards the body. Good luck with your search.
