Looking for In-Person Feedback on Design

Maybe see if a local music store would host?

I'm in the same boat, but I basically built an amp that makes me happy and hope to find a few that are as like minded. With the market as swamped as it is, we have a lot of options out there. I'm personally not trying to please everyone, just offer a nice sounding amp that looks good as well.
...and has a bit of one off uniqueness.

Yeah earlier in the thread it was suggested to be cognizant of trying to cater to too many different audiences. There's truth to the belief that if i can make something I like, then others will follow.

I’m in Denver and happy to provide feedback. Is it a bass or guitar amp? My guitar chops are rustier than bass but I have a PRS hollowbody and a MIJ strat with Lollars if you need to test it with some very differently voiced guitars.

If it’s bass I won’t even try to list all the basses I could bring…

It’s important to know how to push any device to its limits. Where the onset of distortion is, where is sounds bad, how it sounds when pushed with the low E or lower B. Where headroom is diminished, when the power supply can’t keep up. How it reacts to fast repeated notes. You have to know what these limits are in real life.

How does it survive being dropped, getting wet such as high humidity like in a trailer overnight, in the heat of a hot day or freezing in winter.

It isn’t just about testing it under what you think is normal playing conditions. You want testers to go in directions that you never thought of.

It's a bass amp. I'd be happy to see you. I'm thinking I'll have a showable prototype in ~2 weeks to a month.

Absolutely agree, in engr terms that might be deemed factors of safety. I think one of the challenges as a DIY builder is that part of determining a prototypes limits often entails reaching them and breaking it in the process which I simply can't afford to do. That's why I'm designing with margins in mind. Rather than touching the headroom limits (mechanical and electrical) I leave some give.

Especially since the linear max excursion is stated as a function of voice coil gap rather than THD which means THD could be anything at that point and it may already fart by the Xmax.

what sort of incentives would y'all appreciate as encouragement to come out and audition equipment? What would make it exciting and interesting for you?
cold beer will do it for me. but if you served mexican lagers and tacos = i'd put my name on your mailing list and buy a t-shirt! :D

seriously, sounds like you have serious intentions/goals --- good luck with your enterprise!
