looking to down size.

OK, didn't know about the One10 and 5 strings (I saw customers saying it was fine with 5).
Agree regarding the 1x12, except I have chosen the Super Compact, slightly bigger.
The one10 is fine with a five in most circumstances,
but when you really push it for all it's worth, then you quickly learn that while the E is still strong, the low D will make it fart out.

I have the Super Compact and Super Mini. I bring the Mini when one cab is enough and both when I need to tear down walls.

I have a Barefaced One10 and Berg CN112 and CN210. All are very good. The One10 is great, very portable, can get pretty dang loud, I do not go below Eb. For most gig I use the CN210. I just prefer it. It is not overkill for a small acoustic gig and can keep up with drums, elec guitar and elec mandolin without PA support for my electric band. It is an easy carry 33 pounds and very balanced, actually easier to carry than the 28 pound CN112. For the largest gigs I will occasionally use both Berg cabs.

Hi Guys, looking to down size speaker cabinet. I have a 4x10 and 1x15 but looking at a 1x10 speaker cabinet. seen lots around. Came across a company called Groove factory. they have a speaker cabinet with 1 10" rate at 250rms. any suggestions
My suggestion would be have Paul Tollini at Scabbey Road build you a Greenboy fEARless F112. He's currently is very busy but it's worth the wait.

Another vote for RevSound. I don't own a 10, but I just got an RS212 and it is great. If I was looking for a smaller single speaker cab I'd be looking at his RS110 or a single RS112. A lot of cabinet for your $$, IMO. But at the end of the day, there are lots of good choices within a similar budget, and probably very few wrong answers.

So it all depends on your gigs and how loud you need to be. Since putting a 1-10 and TC Bam in my arsenal, it is by far my most used rig. Yes it is limited but enough for monitor with PA support or coffee shop gigs.

Of course, some times the 4-10 is needed...along with the earplugs :)

I'm another 112 user, I went with RevSound. I have 2, but most of the time 1 is enough for most gigs. I drive them with a Fuchs FBS-700. Each cab only weighs 21 lbs. I also have a 110 - a GR Bass powered 110 with a built-in 350 watt amp. It gets plenty loud and can handle smaller gigs or anysize gig with FOH support.

Thanks good to know. Great site appreciate all the info, I kind of like the GR cabinets. they don't seem to have any bad weight to them, but put out. I've been listening them on UTube.

I've been gigging a 4 Ohm Revsound RS28 with a three different 300W heads, just under 20 lbs. It defies conventional logic, lows are full, mids are great, top end clear and defined. And it keeps that character at higher volumes.

Moreover, the distinct character of each amp comes through more than my other cabs (I also have a RS212 and RS115 and older Eden cabs). I've used three different basses with this cab and their differences are also more distinct. I've been playing with a few different bands, too, never has it been lacking in any respect.

Over a year now and I'm not only completely satisfied but I'm still amazed by what the little box box puts out.

Just another option for you to discuss with Dave.
