Cool looking bass with some rad inlays. From Watt's Facebook page today:

the september 2016 prototype "wattplower" bass. the good folks at reverend guitars plan to LAUNCH this baby at the 2017 namm convention. there's still a couple of more changes to be made but it's really getting there and I love working it. I'm using an earlier orange prototype on this il sogno del marinaio "canto secondo tour 2016" that starts tomorrow, in fact! it'll be available in emerald green and powder yellow. yeah, it's a short scale cuz that's what I like working gigs w/and they took the neck dimensions from the dan bass which is my preference. joe naylor designed a shaging happening sounding pickup to go in this baby, love it - both him and ken haas did a righteous job, much respect to them!

It's absolutely gorgeous and GAS-inducing. Looking forward to know more about the specs (bolt-on vs set neck, nut width, radius, etc.). There's a shop here that carries Reverend guitars so I *might* be able to take one for a spin someday.

I'm not too familiar with Reverend. I'm guessing it will be a fairly small run of Wattplower basses. Hopefully, I'll see one out in the wild sometime next year.

I *think* the production model is going to have the smaller 2+2 head for balance, no? I want to check one out, especially if it comes in orange =0)

I've been GAS'ing over a Reverend for so long, but the funds just aren't there :crying:
aw hell, I wouldn't be able to pick just one, hard time deciding between the Justice, Mercalli, Dub King and now I assume the WP will be great too. They all just play so well.

Can't decide... Can't decide; Brain aneurysm!

Nope. Th 4 in line is on the finished product. Think the only thing different from the green one to the final version is they went to a Hipshot A style string through bridge with a brass spacer. :)
Just checked the pics. Its has the hipshot. Think thats it folks. :bassist:

That's a prototype though, not sure what the legit run will cost.

I love the look of this thing. I was a bit more interested when it had Reverends MM/P pickup thing, but that pickup looks pretty sweet.
Anyone know if this is going to be the regular street price? I believe all the other Rev basses are $900-$1100.
