Mike Watt signature bass?

Tried the one above yesterday. Nice and yellow. I could get used to the color. Very light and feels smaller than the current Fender Mustang PJ I own. Doesn't take much on the tone knob to immediately get some real clankity-clank. I left it off. Didn't care for it turned up at all but it was just me sitting in a music shop so.....

Thru a Fender Bassman 500 and Ampeg 810 (hey, it's all I could get easily connected and powered on) it sounded good to me. If I had $1,300 in my pocket I would have been tempted. Unfortunately, all I had was $2 so it is still available!

They are indeed super cool looking basses.

Doubtful that I will get one at that price tag though.

Not saying they are not worth it, I have no doubt they are.

I would just invest in something else at that price, like modding my Mikro, some other musical equipment or almost half ways saving to having my dream bass build.

I think the only thing stopping me from going short scale all the way is the dearth of reasonably priced basses that I like the sound of, not to mention the overall lack of short scales in general. I had the Squier, it was adequate....sold it. Have the Fender Mustang PJ which is okay, don't really care for the Gibson/Epiphone SGs or most hollow body short scales. While $1,300 isn't cheap it is when compared to Fender (American), Rickenbacker, Musicman, etc.

Maybe I'll sell off two or three eventually and get one of these.
