GK, clean can get upper mid grind and I dont think it's very sterile. My personal preference would be the 90s RB series though the MBs sound really good too.
Wow at $699: Is it being built in Asia? Not that is a bad thing nowadays got Genzler in Taiwan, Some Dingwall in China and Sadowsky etc.Quilter just released the Bass Block v803
Aaaaight, so i guess GK route is my quest. A peavey minimax will not give me satisfaction?
There is GK MB500 i can buy, but the price is still a bit high for such an old amp (400 euro). These are also lightweight class d amps I believe. Are the MB’s reliable and easy to work on if something goes wrong?
Love u all!!
A single transmitting tube with kilovolts on the plate, often built on a chrome and mahogany chassis. A certain breed of hi-fi "purists" will pay kilobucks for them. Low output power and can also double as a room heater.I would be fascinated to see your idea of a class A power amp…
Yeah, there's that breed of insanity too...A single transmitting tube with kilovolts on the plate, often built on a chrome and mahogany chassis. A certain breed of hi-fi "purists" will pay kilobucks for them. Low output power and can also double as a room heater.
Yes! Made myself the aion fx ts50 preamp. Iscreally good, use it as my clean sound in front of the hartke, works really wellIf you're keen on TS-50 sound, how about Tronographic Rusty Box preamp? Ok, sure, it's based on TS-50B, which is not the same, but grind galore and not the modern kind.
