Double Bass Mooradian Cover Company is closing!

For what it is worth...

I have had a Mooradian bag for many years. The main zipper failed (after the minor ones), so I used 3 other bags I had. For 4 years or so, I suffered these crappy bags (too heavy, too light, handles in the wrong places, et al). Finally, I took the Mooradian to a local luggage/ shoe repair shop, expecting an expensive replacement of the zipper.
It turned out to need only the "whatever the moving part is called" replaced. Under twenty dollars, and life got much better. I now have the use of a great bag, and the only downside is that I have to remember the stupidity that made me so late to the solution.

Hello,
Does anyone have a pouch/pocket for a standard 3/4 Mooradian I can use to replace the holey one on mine?
Thank you.

That’s a clever and practical solution - and will keep things from poking through and widening the holes.
Am still in the hunt for a replacement pocket to have stitched in place - in order to preserve the ‘dignity’ of the Mooradian cover, which still looks spiffy everywhere but There.

Richard,
I've repaired my gig bags (and my down filled puffy jacket) with this stuff. It works amazingly and I'd think it would take care of those holes.

Lemur Music took the order for my Mooradian bass covers a few years ago. Their rep made sure of the measurements and are essentially custom fit. I have to make sure everything is lined up when I put them on the basses so the zipper works freely. No baggy shifting around, just durable and protecting cocoons around my basses. I'm sorry to hear of the company's closing.
