After two years of online "stalking", I finally found the right Ampeg B100R.
At any given time there are no more then 5 or 6 of these in the musical classifieds in the whole country, so it took a while to find the sweet spot.
According to the previous owner, never gigged and just a few hours of uptime.Bought in 2000, made in the USA.
One small tear in the Tolex, some light oxidation on a couple of corners and clear protective film still in place on the control plate.
After market casters (rated at 40 kgs. each - 88 lbs.) complete the package.
I am a happy camper.
Pics or it didn't happen of course.

It has the pop on shutoff and a loose port, so it is definitely a B100R!
Will give it a nice cleaning and fix the ports ASAP

Well this Ampeg is my "back to bass" amp after a looong break from playing...but if I had to lust for something else in the future, I could easily see the V-4B + 212AV as being a serious contender

I have used my B100R for 90% of my gigs for 10+ years, and it has covered everything from 25 person worship in a small church to 5000+ person outdoor concerts (with FOH help, of course). A
Nd always with the best tone I can think of...
BTW, I have a B50R, just for fun!

I can't imagine that Yamaha wouldn't be aware of the groundswell of public bassist support for bringing back the best bass combo in history, in my opinion even better than the B15N ( and yes, I've had 4 of those!)

I love my B-100R! I gigged with it last weekend.

I also love my V4B and my Ampeg SVT VR
