NAD It's your fault, Talkbass! (Ampeg content)

I can't imagine that Yamaha wouldn't be aware of the groundswell of public bassist support for bringing back the best bass combo in history, in my opinion even better than the B15N ( and yes, I've had 4 of those!)
I'm sure, but by the same token, they also know it was discontinued. Products that get the axe very rarely get brought back, so it's a longshot.

Would love for Yamaha to bring them back.

Agreed. The B100R is one of the best amps Ampeg ever put out, IMHO. They capture that B-15-esc sound about as well as anything out there and are surprisingly loud ... enough to cover a lot of different gigs. Yamaha (if you're listening) ... just make it with two handles on the sides, switch the permanently attached power cable to a more modern detachable IEC cable and maybe add a DI this time around.

If you disconnect the blue power light, the pop on shut-off goes away.

I am aware, but I don't mind the pop so I'll keep it as I remember reading it doesn't hurt the amp (someone correct me if I'm wrong). But thanks :)

Couldn't agree more.

Damn now I'm gassing for one. I already have a v4b and SVT vr. I was recently looking around for a smaller practice amp, then I found this thread. Found a b100r in my state but it's almost $500 great condition. Kinda hard to swallow, but who knows. OP how are you liking it?

I'm loving it!
Luckily for you though, the US is a much bigger market, I'm sure a "new" one will pop up from time to time in the classifieds. And you have pawn shops, which aren't as much of a thing here.
Patience is key.
Stay safe

Had some fun cleaning it with a few simple tools:

So you cleaned it before selling it, you say?
Cleaned on the left:

We all know Ampeg put those rear ports for kids to shove things into them.
Children confirmed:

And now, to remove that 20 year old protective film :

It changed colour and the tolex shines!
