Indeed! They say tone is in the fingers. I bought the same bass as Jacob. They wouldn't sell me his fingers.
It takes a lot of freakin' nerve to post something on here that is so awesome!! I used to think that the builds they have done with the Tbird pickups on a J body were about as good as you could get. But, this a whole other level of cool, especially with the Lollars! I hesitate to ask about the headstock, but is it Tele style?
It's surf green. The photos don't do it justice. It's beautiful.TB - what color is it? Is it surf green? Looks like faded sonic blue? I like it.
NICE! You are going to have a blast playing that bass!I've posted about this bass a couple of times as it's been built. It appears it will soon be on its way from Spring Hill, TN into my loving arms. I am SOOOO hype for this bass!!

We talked about that, but after weighing options, he’s cutting a new body out of a lighter weight wood. He works a lot with swamp cypress and white pine for guitar/bass bodies. White pine is a good lightweight alternative & should open up the upper-mids a bit. Those Lollar t-bird pickups are pretty dark so it may work out for the best. Fingers crossed!Nice! Glad you're keeping it. It seems like the kind of thing you'd regret moving. Are they going to chamber it a bit?
I played it last night & one of the guitar players said, “That thing looks like a ‘55 Coupe de Ville!” It’s definitely a head-turner.Man I could shuffle off to Buffalo on that bad boy, very nice!
