Once I played the bongo 6 I sold everything to get a 6HH and 6HS. The looks definitely grow on you plus the finishes are always killer.
Are the pickup placements the same on those things?
I mean, I didn't sell my amps or pedalboard, or the car, or the wife...... but when you have 3 basses lying around that you don't use and there's a used mint condition Bongo 6HS at Guitar Center...... Why yes I'd like to trade all these basses for this big red toilet seatYou literally cashed in your chips for two Bongos! That's great!
I'll soon buy a Bongo, but was wondering which one to choose. I have two available for a similar price: Bongo 5 HH 2007 limited edition (blue, she's a real beauty !) with 2 minor scratches on it (top of headstock and another under the the body near the neck); or a Bongo 4 HH Stealth black that has no apparent scratches or anything. This is my first bass (and my wife made it clear that it's likely the only one I'll get...). I know the Bongo is a tonal beast and could fit in nearly all types of music. I just don't know what to choose : 4- or 5-. Any advice ?
Personally, if you can feel comfortable playing a 5 I'd go that way. But there's nothing wrong with that Stealth 4!I'll soon buy a Bongo, but was wondering which one to choose. I guess I'll go back to the store (again) to play the 5- a bit more to see how I feel with it. I call this my «Wayne's World Moment», like the «One day, she will be mine. Oh, yeah, one day she will be mine.», if you're familiar with the movie!they are both great basses....obviously since they are the same.....so the real issue is if you want to play a 5 or a 4 and only you really know that for sure.
The Bongo is one easy-playing 5-string. If a 5 is for you, go for it.I'll soon buy a Bongo, but was wondering which one to choose.
