My sole « real » Fender (my other Fender’s are Squier’s, they are fine instruments though).

Very nice as is! I would throw a black pickguard on, but that jut me.

I think…. With a maple board, either the body or the guard has to be light to hold it all together. Likewise with a dark rosewood either the body or the guard has to be dark…. I put a white guard on this 1980 Ibanez guitar, seemed to help.
