That's too bad, it looks great in red.
For those who blame Gibson....don't. That's not shoddy workmanship, that bass was likely dropped somewhere along the line. As someone already mentioned, it looks like a typical whiplash cracked neck.
Oh well, stuff happens. I'm sure the OP can locate another one easily enough. Cheers.

I'm with you this looks like the bass was the victim of an accidental drop or an angry employee.

The seller’s username is jeffsmusicgear. I don’t know anything about them. But from the pics, it’s definitely the bass in this thread.
