NBD: my Threecision/Threelecaster Frankenbass

Thanks for the kind words everyone :)

That's cool! I has a notion to do the same to my Squier Tele Bass: add a single coil P to it, possibly something else near the bridge. Saw it as a way to get a couple basses' worth of tone from one bass.

I had a long-time aversion to making permanent modifications to guitars and basses, but now that I've broken that seal, I say: go for it! Chase your dreams! I've had a blast so far. Are you talking about one of the medium-scale single-cutaway ones, or one of the P-shaped ones?

Umm. Is your name really Dickolas Wang?

No, it's Sol der Fumes.

I don't have the skill or workshop. :/ Also, none of those LPB 50s P's in my area.

I think one of the pine-bodied ones in butterscotch and black would look cool too. Actually the one I like best is the new white blonde finish. I imagine the basswood on this one is probably closer in tone to the alder of the Proto Precision, though.

okay you can have it then.
:p I'll figure out how to do it. to my MIM P, I think.
