NBD Yamaha BB435

It's been a couple years now. I've been playing the BB435 out regularly since that time, using @JimmyM recommended Dunlop string recommendation. Those strings improved it 100%.

After a couple years with the bass the only real nits I have about it are:
  1. Tuners are cheap and the B string is extra fiddly to keep in tune.
  2. Rather than two volume knobs I wish there was a balance knob and one volume knob.
Both items are fixable and it hasn't bothered me enough to order new tuners or rewire the knobs. This is a killer bass for the money.

All that being said, after two years of almost exclusively playing the BB435, I've found that I'm playing my old Fender P-bass with flats out now more than the Fiver. Our FOH guy seems to really like the P (especially when I play it with a pick) and it's certainly lighter. I may be over my infatuation with the B string again for a while. In a couple of years I'll probably miss the B string and switch back.
