Need some guidance on a 1960 Fender Jazz Bass

Does anyone know what the screws are for in between the bridge and pickup?? This 2011 Roadworn has them too, never seen any other jazz basses with this?? Screenshot_2019-08-09-21-50-07.png

We're in Ohio these days, but I'm thinking of at least an online photo appraisal...

Very good idea. Mike's Music in Cincinnati might be worth a visit as well. The owner is a bass player, too.

For the mutes. These were on Jazz Basses from the prototypes until mid 1963 (then switched to the much simpler foam rubber strip directly applied to the bridge cover - the ground strip between the bridge and bridge pickup was also removed and replaced by an internal wire at that time).

Oh ok, strange that the Roadworn has them, I guess whoever owned it wanted it to look more authentic??
