We'll need some DNA testing to confirm the relationship. Just to be sure, get in touch with @BishopHastur (current host of The Mothman) to visit and apply some holy water, just to be sure.

In case you don't know, the Ibanez boomerang strap button alone is worth at least 50.
I took it out back and grabbed an angle grinder and chewed the deadly fret ends down, then dressed them with a file.
I found an extra fret jammed in the bridge, so I beat that into the 12th/octave slot.
I really love this little piece of truss-rod-less wood. I set out last night to make it a 3 Nylon Tapewond lefty bass... but then my son fell in love with it. We must have a fractured chromosome in common. It'll stay a 5 string guitar for now.
I put a strap on it (and added strap buttons) and misplaced that boomerang button immediately . We plugged it in, it works.

I really love the bridge. I cant wait to begin the intonation process. All adjustments are potentially there. The simple engineering of it really makes me smile.

Yeah, I'll chime in. And thanks for clearing up what that piece of metal was in bridge (I was too lazy to take it out). Long ago I made a dumpster find (Don't Trash Me (dumpster find)), which generated some interesting comments. I then put it away in a closet, and found it recently while doing some cleaning out. rufus.K (among others) had expressed an interest in it, so I asked if he would pay shipping for it.
Hah, he fell for it! I conveniently forgot to mention the ghost that comes with it, as well as the new warped sense of craftsmanship. Remember, there's a no return policy!

I still think that thing is amazing, and I'd love to hear what it sounds like.
