OK, someone beat me to it, make sure your tetanus shot is current.

That bridge is 100% the coolest homemade thing ever. Full adjustment, just a lot of room for intonation, well done. Not sure if the frets allow for intonation but the hinge bridge is awesome.

Aesthetically I love those position markers. I could see doing screw or bolt inlays on a nicer bass because it could tie in an industrial look.

How are the pups?

The bridge is insanely clever. I've never seen anything like it but its very well thought out. Kinda of a cool piece and now that you've done some work to make it playable it sounds worthy!

I believe that you now have to make a bass inspired by this a,nd not the bass with the name that we shall not speak.

I love the Robertson screw ‘inlays’. I once built a resonator guitar from a kit, which had screws going through the fingerboard and top into the neck block, but those were hidden under pearl dots. These are just hanging out in all their DIY glory.

That homemade bridge is actually pretty amazing, all things considered. I think you need to string/tune it like a Fender Bass VI and organize a chance to play it through the Chöadhammer. Like, posthaste.

Yeah, I'll chime in. And thanks for clearing up what that piece of metal was in bridge (I was too lazy to take it out). Long ago I made a dumpster find (Don't Trash Me (dumpster find)), which generated some interesting comments. I then put it away in a closet, and found it recently while doing some cleaning out. rufus.K (among others) had expressed an interest in it, so I asked if he would pay shipping for it.
Hah, he fell for it! I conveniently forgot to mention the ghost that comes with it, as well as the new warped sense of craftsmanship. Remember, there's a no return policy!
