Ohms Same, But Which Way To Go

Bill Fitzmaurice site is cool. Yet, did not find a 2x10 there,
Simplexx 10, can be built as a 1x10 or 210, ported or sealed.
Respect to the science. Already copied the dimensions off another 2x10 cabinet.
Did you also find out the T/S specs on the speakers inside of it? That's the science of it.
Wanted to wire it best as possible. NOW Definitely going with the 16 ohms. Like it louder.
Then you probably need more information about other alternatives, because that particular speaker isn't particularly loud. It's average.
Still searching for the best 10 inch speaker possible. Was recommended Eminence brand,
The brand isn't what counts, the specs are. Again, science.
The best place to get advice for me has been right here on good old BassTalk forums
If it's personal preference you care about that's true, but not science. I'd offer more advice, but because I know nothing about your cab I can't software model different speakers in it. Which brings up another point. The right way to design a cab is to pick a speaker based on what you expect to get out of it, then use modeling software to find the cab configuration that works best with it.
am having a similar issue trying to find replacement speakers for my Bassman 410H cab. I went to both of the sites recommended by Rick James, but frankly found them more confusing than enlightening--unless of course you were buying the enclosure from one of those sources--not applicable for me...
Did you ask your question on one of the forums? BFM has a specific section to get advice about gear other than his own.

The 16 ohm speaker is much louder.
The 4 ohm speaker is much deeper.

On paper I like the 16 ohm, and it's a much heavier duty build. These look to be the speakers that SWR used in their cabs.
Also the 4 ohm speaker only goes up to 2khz. Which is awful for a full range driver.

The other one goes up to 3.1khz, it looks like, which is better, but still not particularly impressive.

Thanks All for the fast response. You are correct >>> I need to do more research. Built a cool Greenboy cabinet already. Bill Fitzmaurice site is cool. Yet, did not find a 2x10 there, nor on the fearful web site.
Respect to the science. Already copied the dimensions off another 2x10 cabinet. Got some lightweight birch plywood, tools, and glue. Made my own cabinet that stacks nice top of my Hartke 1x15.
Wanted to wire it best as possible. NOW Definitely going with the 16 ohms. Like it louder.
Still searching for the best 10 inch speaker possible. Was recommended Eminence brand,
but looking at EV, Hemp-O, and especially the Tone Tubbys.
It's all about the bluegrass anyway.
Got a much better understanding now.
Thanks for yall's advice.

Once was lost but now I see

What's wrong with the Hartke 1x15? And what is your goal in adding a 2x10 to it? Like what is the end result you're looking for in sound?
