I’m guessing if you’re reading it’s because you’d be interested in getting one of these fantastic pedals.

Sadly, it doesn’t yet exist. However, with the power of the internet, we can make it happen.

I contacted Origin the other day to ask them to consider making this. Their reply was positive and mentioned that I’m “certainly not the first person to request this”.

So, I propose this, if you want one of these, send Origin a message to that effect using their contact form (linked below). If they get overwhelming interest, I’m sure they’d be motivated to make it happen.

Contact Origin Effects

Let’s do this!

I got all exited for a moment reading the title...
To be fair i never tried the SGT-DI or the Oracle.
And i've been tempted to buy a bassrig 64 to cope the B15 tone.

Done!
Hi Origin Effects,
Just a quick note to express my strong interest in a B15 Bassrig.
As you know, finding and maintaining a B-15 is quite a challenge, and nearly impossible to move around.
Adding it to your Bassrig lineup would be an excellent move, especially given how positively your existing models have been received by the bass community.
It could also serve as a great competitor to the Ampeg SGT-DI.

I did write the title deliberately like that to generate interest. I’d love it if we can all band together to make this a reality.

Interesting about the SGT; the Origin SVT recreation seems to be preferred by many for that sound. Would be great if they could do similar with a B15 recreation.

what about the P-15?

I had one for a bit and really liked the tone. I played through a B15 20+ years ago and i remember it being pretty close. hefty price tag though.

We all know the quality Orgin puts out my only hesitation would be price?

With Origin you get what you pay for, but you do pay a lot and I doubt that would change if they offered a B15 pedal. Origin does have to pick and choose their products because they know full well that there's plenty of lower-priced competition. I bought their SuperVintage, but also own the MasterEffects Super 300, which is a high quality SVT sim at half the price (and not the only one, of course). The SV is fantastic, but if I didn't have that extra $500 I would be perfectly satisfied with the S300.

Back on topic: best of luck to you fliptop lovers, it would be cool if Origin gave you an emulator.

Just to acknowledge, we've seen this, we think the B15 is cool. It's just a case of when and what makes sense. I'm sure if we do make one it would be wicked, and I know it'd immediately be a part of my recording kit!

As others have mentioned, the nature of how we design our pedals and how we build them means they end up costing a fair amount. So with any design, we're always keen to nail the sonics and feel as best as we can, so that we feel those who are stumping up the cash are getting the best version of that thing for their money.

I have the Ampeg SGT and also the Origin FX BassRig 64.

Both are great preamps on their own but I'd definitely buy a B15 Bassrig without thinking twice. In fact, I'm gonna start saving for that pedal right now just in case.

Thanks for having a presence here and chiming in, Jacob. It’s certainly nice to see your company acknowledging requests publicly. I have every faith that you’d nail this and there’d be a bunch of people willing to pay for it. I’d even happily pay upfront if some kind of commitment needed to be shown to demonstrate viability and I’m sure others would too.

And thanks for making high-quality gear. I’m more than happy to pay a bit extra for equipment that is designed to last.

That Super Vintage looks incredible

I’ll ask for a HiWatt pedal and to put XLRs as standard issue on all your amp recreation pedals.
Thank you!

Would love to see what Origin Effects and/or Universal Audio could do with a Ampeg B-15 in a box.

Have you checked out the Sushi Box Slampegg? I know Nathan is also working on a bigger version as well.
I have. Sounds lovely but had an issue with ear-splitting squealing at higher gain setting with a low-output passive P bass with the tone fully open if there’s no buffer before the pedal. Don’t want to further damage my already diminishing hearing.
