What's all this standing and sitting about?

95% of my bass practice involves playing along with recordings, metronome, or drum machine and getting rhythm tight matters. I feel like I need to move with the music a bit to make it work. The only time I’ll sit is if I’m trying to focus on working out different harmonic or melodic lines.

I believe that either is fine just so long as the bass sits about the same either way. But I always use a high stool rather than a low chair when sitting so I can achieve this and maintain a good posture. I also always use the strap so I don't hunch into my bass (if that makes sense?)....

Standing. Sitting for long periods kills my back, and I wack stuff on the desk with the bass trying to manage the computer.

I built a stand up height desk for everything.

If I get tired enough to want a seat, I’ve got a cushy, heavy duty drafting stool.

I don’t really count noodling on the couch whilst I pretend to watch tv as practice.
