What kind of cab are you looking to pair with them, OP?

That may have a larger effect on your tone than just replacing the amp.

I think the preamp in the original TerrorBass was a bit more gainy than the AD200B preamp. The Mk2 Terror Bass added a clean switch

I had the Mk2 Terror Bass and was sad to return it; with my LDS 15+6 cab, it had a "big B-15" vibe that I really loved. But digging in with the band - even with the input pad in, the switch set to 'Clean', midrange maxed and bass just starting to get past 9 o'clock, I was getting farty-ness.

Granted, that LDS 15+6 is an 8-ohm cab, so the Orange was only putting out 250 watts - but that same cab with my GK MB-800 hits like a cannon.
