I just saw this thread. I am sorry that Chef is gone. I always found his posts entertaining and informative.

Just finding out about Alan's passing now. I too will miss his humour, insight, and patience with all the old guy computer conundrums he helped me with even before he became a Mod. Some years ago he had a badass Lava Swirl Reverend Brad Houser 5 that I just missed snagging from him too lol
Rest In Peace ole buddy and make some boom on the other side.

My first-ever transaction on TB was a Wendler Electrocoustic fretless 4-string I bought from @Chef back in 2010. Great guy. Rest easy, friend.

Just now saw this. So very sad. I only “knew” Chef from his posts and the way he would herd wayward posters back into line…gently, but firmly. He was a wealth of information that he shared freely with us all. A kind soul, he will be sorely missed.

Was speaking with Alan's sister, Jenny this week and letting her know that not only do I think about him every day, but that there's a million people in the world that he touched along the path of his life. Probably many more than he'd himself acknowledge.
