Some info on a Squier VM Jaguar bass

I recently played one of those and I wasn't amazed by either its sound or its feel. In fact I played it and some other basses and my favorite was the even cheaper Squier Sonic Precision (not the Sonic Bronco however). (Fender has a yellow model also on sale btw.)

The Bronco is a surprisingly great little bass if you can deal with the 30’ scale. Good modding platform too. You can easily swap out the stock pup with a rail style strat humbucker. Fender has the limited edition purple ones for sale now.
