I haven’t read the mega-thread, but do I have this right:
  • People are drawn to the prospect of purchasing an instrument that is priced far, far lower than is even possible, assuming a minimum quality standard,
  • Same people execute one or more purchases of said instrument(s),
  • Then wait for delivery, which never happens,
  • Then file for a refund,
  • Then wait for delivery of said refund, which could take several (or more) days,
  • And finally gush with glee about said refund?
Is all of that really even worth the trouble?

Robhe earned trust with the $35 & $40 basses he sold and delivered right before the 14.99 & 17.99 basses. That's what got me to step into the trap.
Robhe bass is on the bottom.

This rare gem can be yours for the low price of $29.99! Just mail me some cash, I promise I'll ship it.;)

Maybe my refund should go to more tools.

It was a pretty fun ride for a couple of weeks, sorry you missed out.

By the way, I'm the guy who voted exquisite burning fire bass.

I'm also the guy who keeps buying lottery tickets even though the odds of me winning anything big are in the billions to 1 against.
But like wifey says, “It’s $208 a year and you can’t win if you don’t play.” Every 5 weeks or so, wifey and her sister make a little road trip up to the giant chicken truck stop on I65 in TN for lunch and a couple ten draw quick pick Power Ball tickets. It’s more for the outing but if they win i get to set up my own private CNC machine shop so AFAIC i hope one of them gets lucky. :D

My $19.23 Robhe refund is unfortunately going into my COVID-19 Economic Damage Avoidance Fund.

As much as I'd love to put it towards a cheap bass from a legit eBay seller, I just don't think it's the responsible thing to do right now. I'm still working as of now, but with all the uncertainty, I can't say for how long. I think I'm more worried about the financial impact than I am of the virus itself.

Then this morning, I saw there are locust swarms in Africa! This is getting biblical. Plagues, Hordes of Locusts (a good Satriani song btw...), oh my!
