Edit : 200 pages on this thread!! Also :

I bought a new CV 60's precision earlier this year, and I've always felt that the pickups were a little off. They are too bright for my taste, accentuating the highs and high mids at the expense of the prominent mids and lows that I want from my precision pickups. Today I installed Fender "Original" pickups and all is right in the world. They thump and growl and roar and sound like I imagine a pbass sounding in my head. Anyone want a set of gently used CV pickups?

When I had a CV 60's Precision a few years back, those were the pickups I installed. They sounded great. Wish I could remember why I sold it all those years ago!!! Wish I still had it!!

I’m glad to hear you found the sound you’re looking for.

If I still had a first-gen CV ‘60s Jazz, I would probably take you up on the offer. I’ve long considered turning one of them into a P/J with a CV P-pup as the main pickup.

I just purchased a new 70’s CV Jazz, in natural color. It has a CMHC serial number. The fender serial lookup shows country of origin as ID. Where was it made and by whom, does anyone know? TIA
Congrats. Not sure which factory but CMHC indicates it was Made In China. The basses I have seen with CMHC say "Crafted in China" right underneath the serial. Enjoy your new bass.

I’m a Squier fan-boy, for sure… especially with the recent consensus being they can be superior to MIM examples (not always, but I’ll take a CV over a Player any day…). My only CV at the moment is my Mustang, but that will change (hopefully this week). The CV P-Bass in Antigua should be here soon…. I’ll be sure to introduce yall when she gets here… 😎

Hello! I got this bass guitar. First time i play on Squier and im verry, verry impressed. Damn cool bass. I feel verry comfort when i play. Top1 for me.
So, can someone give me more info bout models made in 2011. I always search some vintage, some more old cuz i thing the things was made with more hart before 2000s. So, i say the model start with ICS11, bass is with nickel knobs and adapters is duncan designed. Natural Jazz bas

Thanks. I started playing with my left hand, with my right I became the master of the universe and there was nowhere else to go ;D
It sounds pretty good, I didn't find anything special about these adapters on the internet, but it really does sound pretty good. I'm also interested in what kind of wood it's made of, I literally can't find anything about these models from around 2010.
