That's what I use for my 35" 5-string.

I like hanging better because the support part for the bottom on leaning stands always gets caught up in the strap, and then I have to deal with untangling it while trying to do a quick change because the drummer is rushing me.

I bought a used (but like new) Hercules today & if I extended it all the way out my bass would be 2 feet off the floor.
