Also check reverb, music go round and guitar center used. Be sure to file a police report in case it shows up.
I've filed a police report and sent them pictures. I saw this same exact one on Reverb but the next day it was sold. If I see it again, I'm not waiting and gonna jump on it. I've checked Guitar Center and bupkis so far. I'll check music-go-round's website (if they have one) cos the store by me closed down.

Yeah, H-town is seemingly going through a crime wave.

I'll keep an eye out. What sucks is that there's a lot of SG style basses around so from a distance yours would be harder to discern but luckily yours is not a gibby or epi.
Yea you're right about H-town. Ugh. I could say quite a few colourful words about the kinds of people who steal other people's stuff...but I'll keep it civil.

That's why I posted pics of what mine looked like, and especially the one with the identifying marks to possibly help anyone out there spot it. :)

I'm in Houston, TX. A few weeks ago, I had a precious bass stolen that I've had since 1998. It's a red 1970 Sekova SG-style bass. I would LOVE to replace it so if anyone knows where I can buy another one, if anyone knows someone selling one, or by the grace of God if anyone sees mine out there, pleeeeease let me know. I can buy an Epiphone bass that looks awfully similar but I would really rather have a Sekova. I have so many memories tied to this bass and this brand. Sadly I don't have a serial number so all I have are these pictures. I even included a picture with identifying marks to help spot it. The dampener was also removed although the lever still remained.

I feel for you man.
My 1968 Walnut EB3 S/N 909720 was stolen more than 40 years ago and I still grieve its loss.
All you can do is:
1. File a police report so there is as documented record of the theft and the item. Describe it as detailed as you can.
2. Watch the circuit and see if anyone is playing it and is so, don;t confront them, call the police and refer to the police report and let them get it for you. Include everything you can as identification marks and mods.
3. Hover through every pawn shop you can.
4. Keep trying.

Go to Searchtempest.com and do a national search for Sekova under musical instruments. There must also be a way to search a pawn shop registry, or maybe the police can do that if you report it.
I have filed a police report so they're aware of it. I've also sent them many pictures. Thanks for the heads up on that site.

So sorry to hear about the theft. Hope it is recovered. (and intact).
I'll be on the lookout too here in Northern California.

Just an FYI. When using either Fed Ex or UPS. I try to get them to deliver to the nearest corresponding "store" associated with each entity. I actually have the direct ph# of a Fed Ex manager (when I complained) the last time they delivered to my apartment door, when I was at work, my Mesa Subway 112 which fully stated signature needed. Good luck to all with lost or stolen instruments. Porch pirates, may no luck be with you.
