Hey All,
I know it's a long shot but I thought I'd give this a try.
I am attempting to locate my most loved and dearly missed PINK Spector NS-2.
It was stolen while I was touring the UK with Canadian band Big House (BMG) in 1992.
Below are the details that I have and any assistance any of you, my fellow bass geeks can provide in locating my long lost love would be GREATLY appreciated.
As you can see by the attached letter from the solicitor that represented the person who "bought" my bass from a local store, it was about to be refinished. It may be a different color now but the S/N is 770 and it was originally Pink in color. Also attached is an OLD photo of me with the bass.

I posted a stolen as in Guitar Player Magazine when I got back to the US and received a letter from an attorney (solicitor) named AK Hollinshead with Tuckers Solicitors Manchester/London.
I have attached the original letter that I received from this attorney in hopes that someone may know him/her or the firm or maybe have knowledge of the current whereabouts of my stolen bass.
Thank you in advance for any help that any of you all may be able to provide.

Did you ever reply to that letter from the solicitor? If so, what was the outcome?

If I’m reading it correctly he replied to you later the same year it was stolen, in 1992. Altho, honestly it sounds like a scam - saying the Bass has had most hardware changed and possibly refinished, and asking you to pay not only to reimburse for the purchase of bass but also all of the mods.

Just curious, but why the desire to find it now, some 27 years later?

Yes, I did respond and even had a solicitor in the UK read the correspondence, advise me & contact Tuckers.
Basically , he told me that if I wanted it back, I had to pay up. End of story.
That was my other fear - that it no longer resembled/played/sounded like it once did.
I just really miss it. It was the nicest playing, best sounding Spector that I ever owned.
Just thought maybe someone out there somewhere might have come across it sometime in the past or might have a line on it now.

No, unfortunately, that is a photo of the mate to the stolen one. I just added it since it was nice & clear and you can really see the bass itself.
I had 2 pink Spectors originally.
