As is their choice, as is yours and mine. No need for all that.Somebody has to support TalkBass, why not you guys. (Just Wrong, cureboy81)
You benefit every time you come here, not just when you need to sell something.
A couple of words come to mind, but I'd get dinged for "personal attack", if I used them.
JMHO.As is their choice, as is yours and mine. No need for all that.
Edit: one month is better than no months and berating them isn't going to squeeze a year out of them.
Yeah, the classifieds are horrible nowIsn’t that what ads are for? And TB has A LOT of them — it’s literally un-browsable without an account.
Also, I’ve been paying for memberships here and there since 2006. I probably wouldn’t have minded so much paying CA$50 on the previous website, but since the update, my usage has declined drastically. IMO, the classifieds are a terrible mess. And I can't be the only one.
I’m looking to sell a bass, and it was already hard selling basses on here because I’m from Canada. I can’t imagine how much harder it is now with the new site.
And as Davedamage pointed out, one or two or three months is better than no months. It would be nice to have cheaper options.
I’m really a freeloader, happily reading without ads using a blocker to avoid. I shouldn’t be judging anyone.Isn’t that what ads are for? And TB has A LOT of them — it’s literally un-browsable without an account.

Have you submitted a support ticket?i've been paying month to month since there was a month to month. i was charged again on september 10, but somehow am no longer a supporting member. i emailed twice to ask about this but haven't heard back.
Thanks for the information. I really hope the issue is resolved and the monthly subscription comes back.I believe paul removed the monthly subscription option due to an issue with PayPal.
Try selling on Ebay or Reverb and see what you get charged when it sells. Unless it is a cheap bass, I'll bet it will be more than CA$50 in fees. I come to Talkbass for Talkbass. Selling and trading on here are a bargain IMHO.Isn’t that what ads are for? And TB has A LOT of them — it’s literally un-browsable without an account.

What did the monthly rate used to be? Just curious.
Everyone with an existing monthly paypal recurring payment subscription for TalkBass will continue unless cancelled. But it is the difficulty in cancelling that forced me to remove the monthly option. Members who try to cancel a monthly sub are sent to paypal, and then paypal sends them back here. It creates quite a headache for all. I hope to bring back the monthly option after this is all sorted out.
