TecAmp Puma 900 vs Aguilar AG 700

Awesome! Yes, they’re the Classic versions indicated by the silver cloth grill as opposed to the Neo versions, which had black metal grills. In the photo it looks like he’s using two L410 Classic cabs.
Yeah, I think you're right about the dual L410's. I was fooled by the angle of the one to the left and the S212's are a little over an inch taller than the 410's.

Based on what I know about the power modules used in both, I would expect the 900 to have a little more ultimate volume. This is of course dependent on how the modules are implemented, and each amplifiers built-in voicing having an effect on perceived volume, but theoretically…

Hi,
I know it's a bit late but....
Your'e wrong about Puma900 and
AG 700 volume. I own EichT900 and AG700. T has ICE 250asx2(500W) module, though modified to boost output..... but still. There is no magic trick to almost double 500. No one can't escape rules of basic physics. AG has ICE 700asx module (700W).

Cheers

Are you saying that the Aguilar is louder than the Eich? I am more curious about actual output volume than The power rating of the amp or module. Ice is honest with their ratings, but implementation is everything, so I have heard pretty wildly different results depending on how the amp architecture is designed

The voicing of the amp I think also has a lot to do with the perceived volume. “Clean and wide and deep” amp designs tend to need more power to have the same perceived output level as some of the more mid range forward amplifiers. in my opinion

Yep, AG 700 has higher actual and audible power output than T900. Regardless of different voicing. Have used same box and bass. Even voicing on both was adjusted to sound same or at least very similar. To get similar voice I had to heavily dial down low mid on AG which lowered Ag's percieved volume.... and still AG was undoubtedly louder. Even without listening I could see speakers Xmax.... cones were moving further out and pushing more air.
