Thanks to drunk ADULT FEMALE, my Genz-Benz cab died in middle of gig last night.

At first, I was going to say, "Wow, what a bunch of hoo-ha over nothing. Girls, boys, whatever." And then I thought about how some people I work with like to refer to us in the band as "Boys," and how irritated I get. And then I thought how I hate being called "Men" worse. Anyway, what was I saying?

do you get irritated if you're called guys? dudes? treefrogs?

So you invite a drunk on stage and then blame her for damaging your gear. Sounds like you're just as responsible as she is. She wouldn't have been up there if you hadn't asked her to join you. People who are not in bands have no idea of where they should and shouldn't step. As a musician, you know where your pedals are in relation to mic stand, other band members and so on. It's unrealistic to expect someone who has probably never been on stage to know where everything is. This is why I never allow anybody from the audience on stage.

Agreed - and talk of some kind of insurance claim regarding this is laughable...

Bummer, not sounding good for the home team... unfortunately your cabinet is good for ~600 watts RMS but under the conditions you describe your amp is capable of delivering over 1000 watts RMS. The amp cut out in it's attempt to protect itself and the speakers attached but the difference in power between the amp and speaker was simply too great. This is my best guess, based on having designed both your amp and your speaker.

I do have a pair of replacement drivers for your cabinet, you can PM me if interested.
That's a funny response - nice one!

i'm guessing the drunk young lady could Not see her feet because her breasts were in the way ...???

we all have our own reasons for inviting trouble , i mean drunks , up on the stage ..!!

and we all pay the price ..! which varies quite a bit ...

A bipedal mammal of appropriate maturity to be present at the aforementioned establishment, gender being irrelevant, engaged in behavior which had unintended, and unfortunate, consequences, resulting in the necessity to repair or replace various components of the amplification system in question.

This is, one must assume, quite an accurate description of the event. Indeed, and verily. However, it remains only an assumption. This thread is worthless without pics. Pics of the girl, or it didn't happen. :cigar:
