Back in the day, (my day was 25-30 years ago) we used to do pop/rock covers for soundcheck. Our band was doing all original acoustic-folk-bluegrass, so it made a nice counterpoint to the set.

I wish there was some YouTube of some of them... that was super-fun.

I came across this on a drum forum this morning and had to share. It is a "Unique, but very cool take on Tom Sawyer. I was not sure where to post, I figured "Miscellaneous" would work.

Cool, some of my homies! Their bassist, Darrel Muller, played in the jazz quartet that played my wedding reception. I’ve had the pleasure of playing a bunch of gigs with Andy Thacker back at the turn of the century.
