Double Bass Troll Ribbon Mic

I see. So you guys are basically saying the troll is an "obsolete" microphone.
I`ll stick to the plan of the Line Audio CM4 but a little OT has anyone tried the OM1 with double bass (specially placing it between the soundboard and the bridge?

I don’t think it’s obsolete but I know the builder has moved on. I don’t think there will be new mics made. Last I talked to him, he had a prototype with the transformer separate from the capsule, kinda like the Nadine but don’t think he’s really spending much time on it these days.
