Users of Bass course Talkingbass or others?

Try a free trial sub at SBL.

Ignore the SBL social media, YouTube clickbait. (Unless you like it). Though sometimes they will grab you with something interesting.

Inside SBl they have built a huge resource for any level of player and interest.

Players path, pathways by style, courses, on every subject.
These things are well put together with video, support materials, backing tracks, drum machine…..From rank beginner to mind bending jazz theory, skills, styles, player interviews.. tons of material.

And if you like the social media, podcasts, interviews and short video lessons, usually with supporting material.

The site works smoothly. Try it for free and wait for discount offered to roll in.

I really like Mark at Talkingbass as well. Create a free account and have access to all the free lessons plus the practice room features like challenges.

Today’s virtual instruction options are amazing. In person weekly lesson can be very hit or miss, plus the complications of schedule, transportation… just life in general.

Good luck!

I love talkingbass.net and find Mark a great teacher. You don't waste time with fluff or useless chatter. It is straight to the point and relevant. So no wasting time. I find many online sources waste a lot of time, which i'd rather spend practicing.

Talkingbass.net right now has the black Friday 30% off all courses. I previously have done the Walking Bass course, which is excellent and really supplemented my in person teacher's lessons. I added today the Music Theory course and the Chord Tone Essentials.

I'd much rather purchase the courses I need than have a subscription model like SBL, and I think Mark is a really fantastic no-nonsense teacher that is well worth listening and learning from. I don't think you will be disappointed with any of his courses.

Strong recommendation for this guy, Tom Kenrick: FreeBassTranscriptions.com - Free Bass Transcriptions

He's an outstanding bass player and an outstanding teacher. I've worked with him via zoom every other week for a while. Wow, has my knowledge, skills and abilities improved dramatically. A great instructor who really knows the bass and can teach it well.
second this! Just huge improvement from these lessons. Love the online model as well.
