Verellen Meatsmoke, advice before ordering one?

I know this an older thread but I'm looking for either the Meatflip or the Meatsmoke head. Does any one know who might be selling one? Too bad Ben stopped making amps!! Thanks!

Finally I have the money to get the amp of my dreams, so I'm mustering up the courage to pull the trigger on the Verellen Meatsmoke. Before I do, I would love some input on useful extra features I need to ask Ben to install. Oh, and should I get a new cab as well? I currently use an Aguilar DB410 (driven by my AG500) - would this be a good match? Music style is fairly hard rock'n'roll, bass in medium to serious overdrive. I usually play my 2007 MIJ Fender Jaguar w/flats, a Gibson EB-2013 and probably my new SBMM Ray34.

So, what extra features/mods are useful on the Meatsmoke? What cabs do you recommend? Any input greatly appreciated.

Do you still have this? I'm searching all over for a meatsmoke head or a meatflip combo. I don't need the 300 watts. It's cool you added the 1/3 switch. Thanks!!

Still have it, still love it. They pop up on Reverb from time to time, sometimes locally in Norway for rather reasonable prices. Shipping is killer on an 80 pound head, though.

If you're looking for the grind and overdrive, the pedal is simply the exact same preamp as in the Meatsmoke. The head adds the 300W power amp, the beautiful enclosure and 80 pounds of weight. The Meatflip is gorgeous too, but even harder to find. I doubt many were made.

Yeah, I like the flip because it's amazing looking but also I would like to use it live. I haven't heard much about the Verellen DI out but I'm assuming it's good as Ben only makes great stuff. I'm actually not looking as much for the grind as I am a super warm tube clean tone. I have an Eden WT head that sounds great but even that doesn't capture the full body that only a tube power section can provide (IMO). Thanks!
