Update: Due to the fact that the body and neck were already glued at the start of the build off, this build meets the definition of assembly build. @Beej has informed me of that through DMs.
I will post more pics once I'm back in Germany next week, where the bass is at the moment.
Thanks! I stole that idea anyways, so feel free to do so. I feel that this way of placing the jack is not only more comfortable when practicing with a headphone amp, making such a bass more travel friendly, but also gives a cleaner look. It does make the build slightly more complicated tho. If you make a bass with a top, it's as easy as pie. Otherwise you need to put a bit more planing in at the glue up. See the "Tunnel" pics for how I solved it. I just drilled the pieces beforehand and used straws to line them up.
