What are your thoughts about Schecter basses? Stiletto Studio bass...

I had a Yamaha TRB1005 for a time. REALLY great sounding and playing modern bass (by 10yrs ago standards). But it had a super thin (front to back, like shallow) jazz-ish neck that I just couldn't bond with. My giant meat hook hands need something more substantial to hang onto.

The Ibanez BTB models have wide necks for big hands. Try one in the store if you can. Check their site and specs for BTB models. You can buy one used for about $650 or so. Like BTB745 or BTB746 or better.

Please share your thoughts about Schecter basses. I'm looking at the Schecter Stiletto Studio-5. There are two fretted versions - fanned frets and regular frets. I never had a chance to try fanned frets basses yet. There are a few good Schecter Stiletto Studio-5 youtube vids. It sounds great.
Thank you all.

I love mine! it's an older "diamond Elite" with the fancier single( individual) rail bridge. It's active so I can control it's tone from mean & aggressive to tame & bland ,I get many compliments on it's tone when played live. It's a neck through design, so the neck profile is a little thick (took a while to get used to). it's beautiful too! trans red dye, with a quilt maple top. got it to replace an old, old Ibanez road star II beater, with a really thin neck, thus the adjustment time to get aquainted to the thicker neck. I'm over all satisfied with my purchase. it's wellbuilt, great quality, I would buy it again.( thinking of getting a 5 string version soon). GL
