To be perfectly honest, as I live in a rural area well away from any music stores, and even then none that really carry anything unusual, combined with the fact that I own or have owned a ton of other basses including exotics, nothing really as I'd have to purchase blind. I have no problem with buying blind, but there's nothing OTTOMH I'd like to shell out the pesos for sight and touch 'unseen'. If I win the lottery, that would change, but even then I'm not sure what and probably nothing exotic, maybe an Ibanez or Cort MS.

i wanna try a bass with a reverse p pickup, and i also wanna try a multi scale bass. not particularly uncommon, but i rarely go to music stores in person because im not looking to buy a new bass anytime soon. last time i was there, i tried a stingray and fell in love instantly

I did get back to GC and tried the smallest bass in the house : a Squier Mini Precision. Even smaller than the Bronco that sold since my last visit.

It was adorable, and played surprisingly well, considering the correspondingly miniaturized price point.

I was mainly interested in sound, vs fit and finish. If it had any cosmetic ugliness, I didn't notice. No sharp fret ends or other signs of build shortcuts jumped out at me.

Very fun bass.

Hm... tough question, I already own most of the classics/semi-classics so I don't really feel like there's something I HAVE to try.

I guess it would have to be a Dingwall. They are pretty much the opposite of what I'm looking for in a bass. I'm more of a "passive P-bass" type of bass player, and a Dingwall is probably as far away from that as it gets. Which makes it a bit more interesting than testing yet another P-bass clone.

I will most likely never buy one, but I would love to try one. Maybe I will love it? I hope not, I've got far too many basses already. And whenever I try something different I always end up back with a passive P-bass anyway.

As a self-described basic bedroom plonker, my “wish list” is short and tends toward older but less expensive stuff:

1. USA Peavey Fury
2. Gretsch Junior Jet w/the single TV Jones ‘bucker
3. Yamaha BB300 w/reverse P

I also wouldn’t mind getting my mitts on a G&L Fallout Tribute or 40th Anniversary Squier P.
