Hey all. So I have an SWR 810. I am in the process of stripping it and refinishing it. I’m in the final stages of clearing it now. But I’m unsure what color/type grill cloth I want to put on it. I plan to build a frame and cover it in grill cloth opposed to the metal grill on it now.

So what do you guys think? What color/type of grill cloth would you put on this cab??? (These pics don’t have any clear on them yet mind you. I just stated the clearing process yesterday):

Neat project. How about a tie dye. Or if you have time make several different motifs to fit different gig settings and or as the fancy strikes you.

While I don't have much opinion on the grill cloth, I just wanted to point out that I approve your taste in decor. I have the same Le Bon Bock poster on my wall.

I decided against modifying the baffle. I just don’t want to go through and entire disassemble of the woofers and everything. Also part of the reason I want to do a cloth grill. I’m probably just going to go with the oxblood I put on the OP. I like some of the ideas being thrown out on here though. Pretty neat stuff.

Dude just take a hot glue gun and glue the grill cloth around the existing grill.. Go get a can of kilt white primer.. And plaint the cab.. Or strip the cab and torch the grain then epoxy it.. It'll look bad ass
