What's wrong with SWR?

This thread has inspired me to plug in my old Bass 350. I use more modern gear for gigging and since I'm not gigging lately, that's all set up at home instead of my SWR. But the old Bass 350 (Burgundy) has a very special place in my heart and will be passed on to my son some day. Along with my 20yr old Gecko, which he's already claimed as his own. I just need to pick up another Bag End D15 to complete my rig from 20 years ago.

Nahhhh- most bar gigs were with one son of bertha (1X15). Little bigger gigs I'd add the Goliath JR (2X10). For the big outdoor festival-style things I'd bring them all- maybe twice a year. I was doing 80-100 gigs a year, so I had plenty of experience with the rig.
True enough. When I started using a GK head a single Golly Jnr was fine for bar gigs. And in hindsight, with what I’ve learnt with experience of the years, I reckon I could easily use an all SWR rig again now and pull a much better tone than I did back in the day. Running a compressor would also help.

Hello

please someone could let me know if this pedal works to mute with

All kit ages out..and you need to decide how to keep it going if it needs fixing or worked on.
SWR was THE stage rig early 90's and was very good spec.
My SM400 is still a great amp and its a classic, imv, but I have other options so its very very rarely going to make it on a gig. I have amps that I'll use first...but soundwise, the SWR still sets a bar..
