"WHIPLASH" - A must watch!

Reviving this thread only because I am not a big movie person but my wife and I watched this last night.

Great acting and drumming by Erskine but a horrible movie IMO. It was so unbelievable and predictable that it did nothing for either of us.

Sorry to not have anything noteworthy to say here...just giving my 2 cents because I so rarely watch a movie!

Just reviving the thread again because Adam Neely finally saw it and did a very thoughtful in-depth review; he pays attention to a lot of detail that I wouldn't have known about. But I think his final point is most important: the movie shows a lot of anguish and suffering and vicious competition, but it gives absolutely no sense of a love of music or camaraderie among musicians.
