Wife got me a new Fender Jazz, is it authentic?

Looks like about an 8-34-8 string spacing. Not even Jaco could slap on that.

Thomastik make their NSEL super short sets. You need to order T.I. NSEL strings.

To the OP: It looks legit to me!
As for me, I only got a cheap P bass copy! 6 tuning pegs and 5 strings. Think I should send it back? The hardcase is nice, though!

I know there's a lot of knowledgeable folks here on Fender. It's definitely not a player and the intonation is awful, but I think it has a place in my collection.

I asked for a 35 scale bass, By that I meant 35 inches, not 35 millimeters!!

Getting better though - last Christmas, I asked for a lighter bass like my Ibanez Ergodyne EDA900...
Perhaps I wasn't specific enough I guess....I meant lighter IN WEIGHT.
